Great Action on the McKenzie River
We ran a quick late afternoon-evening float yesterday on the McKenzie River. It was a warm evening with a few bugs showing and the action was plentiful. Landing over 20 fish on a very short float made for an exciting drift. We caught a mix of hatchery fish that ranged from 8-14 inches as well as some deep-bodied, wide-shouldered wild chunkers that took the reels well into the backing. Both dries and nymphs produced equally well. What GREAT FUN!
