My current fishing guests are out from Colorado on their annual fishing visit to the McKenzie Valley.  Vince and Joy take a relaxing approach to guided fishing.  We rarely start before 11:00 am and they truely enjoy the scenery and wildlife as much as the fishing.  One might think that so casual an attitude toward fishing might result in the smell of skunk.  More often than not however, Vince and Joy seem to beat the odds by running " The Higens Program."   Yesterday we launched at 12:30 and by 2:45pm we had 2 hatchery Chinook and 1 hatchery Summer Steelhead in the box.
