We continue to yard some deep-bodied Chromeballs from the famed Elk & Sixes Rivers on Oregon's beautiful South Coast! In addition to the big Kings, we also landed our first Winter Steelhead of the season just this past week.
These Fish are "Strong Like Bull"
Come join us for a memorable drift down the Elk or Sixes. These hot fish definitely leave a mark!
Hard fighting, chrome bright, line burning, relentless demons, chock full of piss & vinegar. That's why we come to fish the Elk & Sixes Rivers. We catch these gorgeous mint fish often just a mile or two from the ocean.
Mark & Jeff hold a couple beauties we hooked on our "high water drift" on Friday. One of the six hook-ups included a powerful beast that continued to run and hold in fast water. After a good half hour battle, we ultimately had to move down around a point to find water soft enough to bring it to net.
We have begun our coastal salmon trips for Fall 2016. Trolling the Bays and the lower reaches of our coastal river is often the ticket to finding beautiful big fresh Chrome. This fortunate guest was blessed with a Chunky Siuslaw Toad on Tuesday's trip. Meanwhile, we continue to enjoy consistent success on our McKenzie River drift boat trips chasing down scrappy rainbows. Even novice fly fishers are doing well on the aggressive Rainbow Trout

Given the late calendar date, we were blown away by the wonderful condition of this hatchery "Springer" caught on August 27 and which cut a beautiful orange colored meat and barbequed up like a May 1st Spring Chinook. Yum, Yum! The following 2 [...]
We got a nice Steelhead & a Salmon in the morning and then switched gears for Rainbow Trout in the afternoon. 6 yr old Taylor put on a bit of a Trout Clinic in the afternoon showing all us old-timers just how it's done.
Robert K. found some fun action on late-arriving McKenzie River Spring Chinook
