Cancer Survivor Kids Enjoy a Fishing Drift Down the McKenzie River

Had the opportunity last Thursday to contribute a donated trip to this very rewarding, now annual event in which cancer survivor kids from Doernbecker’s Hospital are given a day of fishing down the McKenzie River. The event is spearheaded by the McKenzie Guides and our local Northwest Steeleader chapter and supported by numerous other contributors, businesses etc as well as some Duck and Beaver athletes .. In addition to the fishing, the group is treated to a pre-trip breakfast and then concludes with an afternoon BBQ at the takeout park. Certainly a good time for all.
